Built from 30 years inside the rent roll industry — by someone who’s done it.
I’ve sat in the chair you’re sitting in.
The Tarsi Taylor Way was founded by Tarsi Taylor — rent roll specialist, former agency owner, valuer, advisor, author, podcast host and industry speaker. Three decades inside the industry. More than 3,000 rent roll matters. One clear purpose: helping real estate business owners understand value, reduce risk, and make informed decisions.

Three decades, one industry.
Tarsi’s career in real estate began in 1999, when she started as a school work experience placement at Gil Wright & Associates — a specialist business brokerage and valuation firm.
She began in reception, learning the business from the ground up. Over time, she gained exposure to all parts of the firm, developing a deep understanding of how real estate businesses operated behind the scenes.
In 2003, Tarsi stepped into valuations, where her work became increasingly focused on understanding the commercial performance, risk and value of real estate businesses and rent rolls.
She obtained her real estate licence in 2005 and, by 2007, had bought into partnership in the valuation department of the business. Over the years, she worked deeply in the back end of real estate business ownership — valuing agencies, assessing rent rolls, reviewing performance, and understanding what created, protected, or reduced business value.
In 2015, after years of advising from the valuation side, Tarsi stepped into the front end of real estate ownership when she became a business owner of LJ Hooker Sarina alongside her business partner.
She wanted to understand agency ownership from the inside, not just from the numbers.
Owning the agency gave her a powerful perspective on what real estate business owners actually carry — the pressure, the responsibility, the people, the risk, the opportunity, and the constant decisions required behind the scenes.
She settled on the agency when her third son was just nine weeks old, operating across both businesses while raising her family.
What followed was a period of intense pressure. Managing two businesses, combined with personal challenges, led to a period of burnout that would ultimately reshape how she approached business and life.
On 2 January 2018, Tarsi founded what is now known as The Tarsi Taylor Way — a business built with intention, clarity, and a deep understanding of what real estate business ownership actually requires.
Today, her work spans rent roll valuations, due diligence, performance audits, consulting, and strategic advisory. She has completed more than 3,000 rent roll valuations and reviews, working with business owners, buyers, sellers, and lenders across the industry.
Her approach is grounded in real experience, not theory. She understands both the commercial value of a rent roll and the lived reality of owning the business behind it.
At the core of everything she does is a strong belief that business ownership should create opportunity, not exhaustion. She has built her business in a way that allows for commercial success, creative freedom, family alignment, and deeper impact across the real estate industry.
I’ve been the agency owner. I’ve been the valuer. I’ve been the person carrying it all at the same time.
The Tarsi Taylor Way exists because real estate business owners deserve specialist work, done specifically — from someone who has actually done it.
Four principles that shape the work.
Not values on a poster. Working principles that actually inform how we engage with the businesses, decisions and people we work alongside.
01
Specialist work, done specifically.
Rent rolls are not generic businesses. They have their own commercial logic, evidence base and risk indicators. Generic frameworks miss what specialist judgement catches.
02
Evidence over opinion. Always.
Numbers carry weight when they are supported by reasoning, evidence and current transaction insight. Opinions in a suit do not protect anyone.
03
Real estate is hard. Strategic clarity makes it less hard.
Most agency owners are not short on information. They are short on senior, commercial judgement applied at the right moment. That is the work that changes outcomes.
04
Business should create opportunity, not exhaustion.
Tarsi has lived both. The work the team does for clients is grounded in this belief: the goal is a business that supports the life behind it, not the other way around.
